The new entry into Nokia's N series is the Nokia N85. These are smart phones with impeccable design and unmatched technology. The Nokia N85 has an OLED display which supports 16 million colors. It provides QVGA videos as well. The N series was in dire need of a micro usb charging mode and Nokia N 85 is equipped with this much needed feature.
The main features of the Nokia N85 are a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, auto focus and dual LED flash. For music lovers there is MP3 player 3.5mm audio output jack. In addition to this, Nokia N85 has a GSM based reception of 1800 MHz for users in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. For Aussies the Nokia N85 supports the 850 Mhz, 900 Mhz, and 1900Mhz band. The Built-in FM transmitter enables the user to transmit tunes to his/her car stereo.
Nokia N85 has dual sliding functionality. It has media buttons that slide from the left and game buttons that slide out on the right. Games like N-Gage and the Sims and Worms are available and more games are being made available time and again.
The OLED screen mentioned above is a 2.6" screen. OLED is essentially a display technology providing richer colors and contrast as compared to traditional TFT screens. OLED screens require much lesser power to function. If you thought Nokia has the most reliable battery, you are not wrong. With the Nokia N85 it claims to provide 363h stand-by time and about 7h of continuous talking time.
Besides the expected features, the D-Pad key, accelerometer, full sat-nav ability with a built in GPS unit are the out of the box features akin to the Nokia N95. Most of the features seen in the earlier version i.e N95, is seen in Nokia N85. It even looks better with a thinner frame.
