Motorola announces the luxury phone AURA, inspired by luxury watches and handcrafted design at an event held in Mumbai.
Faisal Siddiqui, Head of India Operations, Motorola Mobile Phones said "AURA is Motorola's latest high-tier mobile phone targeted at the trend-setter Indian who has a taste for the exquisitely stylish, unrivaled quality and sensuous luxury".
The luxury phone, 'Motorola Aura' is encased in a stainless steel body and packs in exclusive features like a 2 megapixel camera with fixed focus, 2 GB onboard memory, Symphony browser, Stereo Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR and AD2P and USB 2.0 hi-speed for connectivity, support for GSM 850/900/1800/1900, EDGE Class 12, GPRS Class 12, Crystal Talk technology, battery that supports 7.3 hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby time.
Motorola Aura is also equipped with a 16 million color LCD circular display with a 300 dpi resolution. The display screen is composed of 62-carat scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens. The Aura is available in select cities like Ahmadabad, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Delhi (NCR), Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Surat from mid-March 2009 onwards. Motorola Aura will be retailed at select modern retail chain outlets only. It will be priced at Rs. 111,492/-.
