Jose-Luis Martinez, Vice President, Nseries, Nokia said "The Nokia N900 has generated a lot of interest since its public launch in August, which has been reflected in the device pre orders." He added "What's exciting is the Maemo software, which takes its cues from the desktop computer and offers a full browsing experience like no other handset. We believe the Nokia N900 will be a very compelling device for people who are passionate about technology."
The main features of Nokia N900 are its powerful ARM Cortex-A8 processor with a total application memory of up to 1 GB. With this features, users can browse the internet the way they would on any computer and keep dozens of application windows open at a time on the dashboard. What's more, widgets, contacts and shortcuts may be employed to personalize the panoramic desktops in the all new Nokia N900.
Nokia N900 does not disappoint photography enthusiasts, as it is equipped with a 5 MP Carl Zeiss camera which automatically shows where the pictures were taken. Users are also allowed to add their own description tags to simplify the process of searching the photos. In addition to other features, SMS and instant message options are organized, so as to allow the user to conveniently switch between the multiple conversations windows. Nokia N900 is embedded with a built-in storage of 32 GB which is big enough to store up to 7,000 songs or 40 hours of DVD-quality video. Nokia N900 can also be expanded up to 48 GB with an external micro SD card.
Users will be able to discover a wide range of games, utilities, themes, panoramic wallpapers and service plug-ins for photo-sharing and messaging in the Nokia N900, through Ovi Store and Maemo Select, starting later in the year. The Nokia N900 will be available in Europe, Middle-East, Russia and North America. And for those who cannot wait to place the order, may do so, through the Nokia Online Store.
