Mobile phones are an essential part of everyday life, and it is interesting to see how they are referred to in different languages around the world. In Spanish, a mobile is known as a "teléfono móvil", while in French it is called a "téléphone portable". The Chinese often refer to their mobiles as a "yidong dianhua", and in Japanese it is called a "keitai denwa". Italians refer to their mobiles as "cellulare" and in German it is known as a "Handy".
