Most mobile phones buffs may have two issues regarding their respective cell phones. Either the technology is too obsolete or the battery backup is not up to the mark. The announcement of solar chargers may seem like a breezy launch for mobile phone aficionados.
The solar charger is ideal whilst traveling and all one has to do, is slide the phone into the holder shaped charger and wait till it gets charged. The Solar Charger is known as Powcell and is made by MotionTouch, a manufacturing and design firm based in Dunsfold Park in Surrey, UK. The Powcell is embedded with a solar panel which uses light to charge the unit ,making it an environment friendly product. The sleeve keeps the phone charged and reduces the chance of a low battery during calls.
Currently, the sleeve is designed for the Apple iPhone and few BlackBerry devices. Once the phone is slid in, the fully charged battery may be obtained and the phone gets charged simultaneously. The initial versions are designed for Apple iPhones and BlackBerry mobile phones. Talking about the new concept Henry Powell, Client Director of MotionTouch says, "Dispensing with the need for plug-in chargers makes Powcell a ground-breaking eco-product. And the ability to provide power for that crucial call, even when your phone is flat, makes it an essential accessory. We are very excited to have been so involved in this unique product that could change the future of mobile technology."
"We've designed the Powcell sleeve to integrate seamlessly with the iPhone 3G and the new 3GS. The unique design shines a light on the future of eco-friendly portable charging solutions. This exciting technology is completely transferable and can be adapted to suit almost all battery operated devices, which has attracted the attention of some of the world's largest consumer electronic manufacturers. We are already planning to integrate this technology into future mobile devices, which will be seen in the very near future," added Chris Simmons, Sales Director of Powcell."
