Sony Ericsson Jalou: Fashion Phone To Be Unveiled Soon

Sony Ericsson had previously announced the launch of a handset that would be named 'Jalou'. It features the Symbian S60 5th edition OS. The latest images revealed show that the mobile phone is embedded with a unique style statement and measures only 73mm long.

Charles Hunt, Jalou head designer at Sony Ericsson said "Structured forms, intricate corners, hidden depths and jewel accents are set to be some of the hottest fashion trends in 2010. You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colors on the runway next year. Jalou reflects these trends with its delicate facet-cut diamond shape design, clean and expressive lines and variety of different shine and matt finishes that give depth to the handset." He added "The design team wanted the handset to reflect beauty found in nature. They looked at structure, strength and form in various crystalline jewels, which resulted in the unique shape."

Sony Ericsson Jalou is a clamshell mobile equipped with the following features:
* It has a 2 inch TFT LCD with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and an external monochrome display
* Bluetooth with A2DP, PlayNow and TrackID
* Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
* 3.2 megapixel camera with geotagging and Photo Fix
* Stereo FM radio
* Mirror Key
* Google apps with Search, Maps, Email
* A YouTube application including 3D games and Motion Gaming
* EDGE/GPRS
* Micro SD card support
Sony Ericsson has also announced the Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana limited edition. Fashion and technology, merges in the rarest of occasions and with the "Jalou" fashion phone, Sony Ericsson and Dolce & Gabbana have united to bring out the best in style and technology. The mobile phone is embedded with the same specs as the regular "Jalou" but comes packaged with the excusive Dolce & Gabbana content.

The packaging includes three silky satin bags to protect the phone. It could also be used to carry jewelry. This new and embellished mobile phone with gold accents keeps you connected in style. The "Jalou" handset has an exclusive fashion interface that updates the zodiac signs and special events through the year. Sony Ericsson Jalou would be available in the fourth quarter of 2009 in a wide range of gem inspired colors like Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black. The phone will be released towards the end of this year and the designer edition would be retailed exclusively in D&G stores and a few selected Sony Ericsson outlets.
