Nokia 6700 Classic:
This mobile phone combines smooth surfaces, specifically crafted parts and rich materials that give it a premium finish. Other features include a 2.2 inch TFT LCD (240 x 320 pixel resolution) and 3G support along with HSDPA, EDGE/GPRS.
Nokia 6700 Classic has bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and USB 2.0. There is A-GPS navigation with Nokia maps. The phone is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and micro SD card support. FM with RDS comprises the entertainment features.
Besides, Nokia 6700 Classic also features the pioneering, 'uplink noise cancellation' (UNC) that blocks out background noises and Navigation through internal GPS, with Nokia Maps (30 days license free).
Nokia 6303 Classic:
This Nokia mobile has a 2.2 inch screen with 240x320 pixels. It is equipped with 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and micro SD card support. Nokia 6303 is preloaded with Nokia Maps. There is a 3.5 mm audio jack. The entertainment features include FM radio. This handset lacks GPS.
These two handsets were much awaited. Nokia 6700 Classic is priced at Rs. 14,000/- while Nokia 6303 Classic is priced at Rs. 8000/-. Nokia's brand ambassador the lovely Bollywood Diva Priyanka Chopra continues to endorse the brand and is closely associated with the launch.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vineet Taneja, Director Marketing said "Nokia is delighted to strengthen its bond with India's style conscious consumers, both by extending our association with Priyanka Chopra and with the launch of Nokia 6700 Classic and Nokia 6303 Classic." He added "Priyanka, with her signature glamorous style, has brought in a lot of vivacity to the Nokia brand. The Nokia Supernova campaign with Priyanka was one of our most popular ad campaigns last year." He also mentioned "The Nokia 6700 Classic shares the same 'DNA' as its predecessor Nokia 6300 and we believe that it will be one of our best selling devices in 2009."
Priyanka Chopra said she was excited to be continuing her association with Nokia and that she completely believes in the product. In addition to the launch there is a contest titled "Pictures get us talking". The winners get a free make over from one of the industry's best.
