World's the highest selling mobile phone company, Nokia announced the discontinuation of free streaming music service, Ovi in 27 countries. Ovi music unlimited will continue in a limited capacity with 12 month subscription in India and China as well as six month subscription in Brazil, Turkey and South Africa.
According to Nokia, they have changed the availability of devices bundled with an Ovi music unlimited subscription to improve the Ovi experience for the millions of consumers who use it.
Ovi music service was launched by Nokia to challenge Apple's iTune but failed to offer significant competition.
In the countries where the subscription service is being discontinued, users will still be able to access Music Unlimited until the end of their existing subscriptions.
