Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo; CEO, Nokia was in discussion with The Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg; about the importance of pragmatism in the cell phone market in the US. The conversation was accompanied by a preview of the latest Nokia N97 phone.
Nokia, roughly has a 36 percent market share and is the world's largest mobile phone maker. The position has become a tough one to maintain, as the economy is soaring and so is the technology. The CEO said the competition has become harder with new players like Apple, Nokia's innovative rival. Thus CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo is working on strategies to be in competition and maintain the number one position in the mobile phone market.
