The latest round of mobile phone news has it that Samsung will soon launch its rugged and weatherproof Samsung Xplorer B2100 in India. The phone is built to withstand a plunge in about 1 meter deep water and can survive for around 30 minutes there. This Samsung mobile phone was also displayed at the Communicasia 2009 which was held in Singapore. The phone is also built to endure extreme shock as well as temperature variations.
At the same time, the camera comes along with a 1.3 MP camera, 1.8 inch screen, a music player along with FM radio with RDS. There is also 7 MB of memory included in the mobile phone for users to store their pictures and music. There is also a memory expansion slot that supports a Micro SD card. Along with Quad band with EDGE support, the mobile phone provides Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support. Expected to be available in India in the first week of July, it could be priced between Rs. 6,000 /- and Rs. 7,000 /-.
