Use Your Mobile Phone To Get Fitter Samsung F110
Are you an avid runner? Do you compete in marathons? Or simply want to improve your fitness levels. Many celebrities have personal trainers to help them with this, but many non celebs cannot afford this extravagance! But fear not as Samsung have a solution in the form of the Samsung F110 also known as the Adidas miCoach.
How can a mobile phone help your fitness I hear you cry?! The Samsung F110 is not just a mobile phone it is also your very own personal trainer. Samsung have teamed up with the Athlete's Performance Institute at Arizona State University, and have created a complete package for their sporty users.
The Samsung F110 Adidas miCoach will guide you through your first run to determine your fitness levels, it will then give you a range of goals that suit your fitness level along with a series of workouts to help you to reach your goal. miCoach will even create a personalised fitness plan for you.
The F110 comes with a heart rate monitor (that looks similar to a belt) which straps around your chest, as well as a stride sensor that clips to your shoe laces and counts your steps for you. This technology is synced to your mobile phone which can give you real-time voice guidance on your workouts based on the information. A handy application is the mobile phones built in accelerometer, which allows you to tap the phone twice to receive a spoken update from your phone to inform you of your current running stats including distance, time, pace, calories, stride and heart rate!
A clever addition is the 1GB MP3 player is that it selects music that you can keep up to pace with, which if you run in time with the music will help you to stay within your target heart rate zone for the duration of your run.
The Samsung F110 is a fairly basic slider mobile phone but it does also come equip with a 2 mega pixel camera, FM radio, and Bluetooth.
The F110 will be available this month, unfortunately Samsung have yet to announce the price.
